Lambdin’, crimp brooch, with lapel and riband bars in case of issue; Distinguished Flying Cross, slot brooch; Bronze Star, ‘V’ emblem on ribbon, crimp brooch; Purple Heart, enamelled, oak leaf cluster, crimp brooch; Air Medal, ‘V’ emblem on ribbon, crimp brooch; Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal, with three stars on ribbon; South Vietnam, Gallantry Cross, with palm on ribbon; Service Medal, 1 clasp, 1960-, good very fine and better (10) £300-350

With a note reading, ‘On 20 July 1966, CW-2 Lambdin was aircraft commander of a 68th Aviation Company UH-1 making an assault landing in Long An Province, near Saigon, Republic of Vietnam. The aircraft was hit by hostile fire, crashed and exploded, killing all four on board...’

Was formerly sold as a single Silver Star. With riband bar, two cloth and three metal badges for display purposes.
