William Jeffrey enlisted into the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders on 15 March 1910. As a Serjeant he entered the Egypt theatre of war on 1 June 1915. He was discharged on 5 October 1917 due to wounds and awarded the Silver War Badge. With copied m.i.c. and roll extract.
