Army L.S. & G.C. (2), V.R., 3rd issue, small letter reverse (4134 Corpl. W. Leatham, 91st Foot; 1142 Pte. A. Murray, 91st Foot) first worn through polishing, poor; second good very fine (2) £140-180

William Leatham was born in Co. Down. A Weaver by occupation, he attested for the 91st Regiment at Portadown, Co. Amargh on 23 February 1956, aged 18 years. Served in the Mediterranean for 18 months and in the East Indies for 10 years 1 month. Discharged at Londonderry on 26 February 1877 having completed his second period of service. At the time of his discharge he was in possession of the L.S. & G.C. Medal and five Good Conduct Badges. Latterly a Chelsea pensioner. With copied service papers.

Alexander Murray was born in Barony, Glasgow. He attested for the 91st Regiment at Stirling on 16 November 1866, aged 32 years. Serving in the 91st Regiment he served 8 years 8 months in the East Indies and was awarded a medal for the suppression of the Indian Mutiny. Discharged at his own request at Londonderry on 1 March 1877. With copied service papers.
