Charles Warren Simpson was born in London, England on 4 May 1873 and enlisted at Vancouver on 2 October 1916, having previously served in the 4th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment, including 3 years as a Lieutenant. Initially with the 72nd Regiment, he was eventually transferred to the British Columbia Regiment in June 1917. Discharged due to medical unfitness on 21 January 1919. With a number of copied service papers.

James Low was born in Aberdeen on 25 June 1883. He enlisted into the 148th Battalion Canadian Infantry at Montreal on 26 March 1916. With the 42nd Battalion in France, he was admitted to No. 7 General Hospital on 21 July 1917 for a gunshot wound to the left foot suffered on 13 July. Later documents indicate he suffered a shrapnel wound to the head and right knee. Returning to his unit he was killed in action in trenches East of Lens on 31 March/1 April 1918. With copied service papers.

Leonard Arthur Waterhouse was born in Birmingham on 13 March 1896. He enlisted into the 51st Battalion at Edmonton on 8 January 1915. Serving with the 49th Battalion in France, he died of wounds on 2 May 1916 at No. 9 Canadian Field Ambulance. With copied service papers.

William Shepherd Scaife was born in Melmerby, Yorkshire on 22 November 1879. He enlisted into the 156th Battalion on 19 June 1916. Overseas he was transferred to the 120th Battalion and the Canadian Salvage Corps. Discharged 14 September 1919. With copied service papers.
