Andrew Baillie’s and John Lowrie’s service records are available online - the former, a native of Edinburgh, served in the 3rd, 13th and 17th Battalions, Royal Scots, and afterwards in the Labour Corps, and the latter, a native of Lanark, in the 2nd Battalion. Both were entitled to the B.W.M. and Victory Medals, as was Alexander McCuish.

W. Alexander first went out to France on 11 December 1915, with the 10th Battalion, Scottish Rifles, and was discharged on account of sickness April 1917, when he was awarded the Silver War Badge.

J. Dewar first went out to France on 10 November 1915, and J. A. McKenzie on 7 September 1915, where he served in the 4th Battalion, Cameron Highlanders.

Ernest C. Holland, and John Stewart, who later served with the King’s Own Scottish Borderers, were entitled to the B.W.M. and Victory Medals, and W. J. Chisholm, who later served in the Cameron Highlanders, was entitled to a single B.W.M.

G. G. Gillan was discharged in October 1918 and awarded the Silver War Badge, in addition to the B.W.M. and Victory Medals.

John Burgoyne’s service record is available online - born in Rothesay, he enlisted in the 1/8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in February 1916, and was wounded by a gas shell on 24 June 1918. Again wounded on 5 July 1918, he was discharged in September 1919.

Walter Constable first went out to France on 9 July 1915 and was awarded the Silver War Badge on being discharged in November 1919, and A. Stewart entered the Mesopotamia theatre of war on 24 October 1915, but later served with the Royal Engineers.
