H. A. Probyn first went out to France with the D.C.L.I. on 22 July 1915, but later served in the R.A.O.C. and Gloucestershire Regiment.

William Pooley was entitled to a single B.W.M.

George F. Dennett, who was born in Wimborne, Dorset, in 1893, enlisted in the Devonshire Regiment in early September 1914 and served in France with the 12th Battalion in September-November 1915, and thence in the Mediterranean theatre of war until July 1917, including the Salonika operations. Having contracted malaria he was discharged back in the U.K. in July 1918, and awarded the Silver War Badge.

Sidney Walter Gould’s service record is available online - he was from Portsmouth, later served in the Labour Corps, and was entitled to the B.W.M. and Victory Medals, as were Walter H. Harris and Thomas Smith.

Harry Augustus World, a native of Portsmouth, later served in the Labour Corps and was mentioned in despatches (
London Gazette 30 December 1918, refers). He, William Strett, who also served in the Wiltshire Regiment, and G. L. Pursell, were entitled to the B.W.M. and Victory Medals.

Thomas Hann was entitled to a single B.W.M.
