Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, South Africa 1902 (Major W. C. C. Leslie. Indian St. C.) light edge pitting from Khedive’s Star, otherwise good very fine £200-250

Major W. C. C. Leslie served with the 2nd York and Lancaster Regiment throughout the Egyptian campaign of 1882, and was present in the engagements at El Magfar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kassasin and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with clasp; Khedive’s Star). He subsequently joined the Indian Army and was employed with Remounts during operations in Cape Colony (Medal with two clasps).
