Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, South Africa 1901, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (2017 Sgt. R. A. Telford, 11th Coy 3rd Imp. Yeo.) clasps mounted in that order, unofficial connection between 1st & 2nd clasps, attempted erasure of service number, rank and first initial; Yorkshire Imperial Yeomanry 1900-1902, 3rd Battalion, South Africa 1900-1901 (2017 R. Robert Anderson Telford was born in Athy, Co. Kildare. An Engineer by occupation and a member of the Yorkshire Dragoons, he attested for short service with the Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa at Wakefield on 2 January 1900, aged 23 years. Serving with the 11th Company, 3rd Battalion Imperial Yeomanry (Yorkshire Dragoons), 24 January 1901-23 April 1901. He was discharged at his own request at Shorncliffe on 23 May 1901. With copied service papers and roll extracts - confirming clasps.
