With a silver cigarette case, inside of lid inscribed, ‘A Token of esteem to W. Bro. J. M. Lees P.M. from Masonic Brethren at Brockhouse Sport Ltd. Dec. 23 / 1944 H. to m. S. to p. H. to m. again’, 98 x 82mm., hallmarks for Birmingham 1943; together with a portrait photograph of Lees in uniform at the time of the Boer War and another in later life, wearing masonic insignia as Grandmaster of the Lodge at Southport.
