Nursing Sister E. M. Denny served in No. 11 General Hospital. She returned to England aboard the Avondale Castle in May 1901. It is recorded in the London Gazette of 23 December 1902, that she imported a dog on 17 December 1902 - the animal being held in quarantine re the Diseases of Animals Act of 1894.
