1822 Lance-Corporal William Bridgman, 9th Lancers, was severely wounded at Kabul on 13 December 1879, suffering gunshot to the chest. (Name spelt ‘Bridgeman’ in published casualty roll). Invalided and discharged in England. With copied roll extract confirming clasps.
