Waterloo 1815 (Serj. William Tuck, 1st or Royal Dragoons.) fitted with original steel clip and replacement silver bar suspension, edge bruising and contact marks, therefore good fine £1600-1800

William Tuck was born in the Parish of Bradford, Wiltshire, and enlisted for the 1st Dragoons at Edinburgh on 18 March 1800, from the 1st Fencible Cavalry, in which unit he had served since November 1799. He was discharged ‘being worn out in the service’ on 18 April 1827, in the rank of Troop Sergeant-Major to which he had been promoted in December 1820, having served as a Sergeant for more than 15 years previously. His conduct was described as good and he was recommended for a pension at Chelsea Hospital. Sold with copied discharge papers.
