Byron Garfield Newcombe was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in August 1897, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Sarcee Camp, Alberta, in June 1916. He died at the Provincial Mental Hospital Ponoka, Alberta, on 12 May 1922, after fracturing his skull in a fall; sold with copied attestation papers.

Frank Miell was born in Stafford, Essex, England, in October 1889, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Calgary in September 1915. Originally drafted to the 50th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, he transferred to the 10th Battalion, Canadian Machine Gun Corps, and was wounded by shrapnel in the left arm on 13 October 1916. Evacuated to England, he saw no further active service and was discharged in Alberta in March 1919; sold with copied service record.

Thaddeus Harris was born at St. Agnes, Cornwall, England, in June 1897, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in November 1917, ater travelling north from Minnesota, U.S.A.; sold with copied extract from attestation paper.

Lubo Daniel Pope was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in May 1884, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Vernon in August 1915. He died in Victoria, B.C., in January 1972; sold with copied attestation paper and other research.

Fred George Palmer was born in Reading, Berkshire, England, in March 1892, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Hamilton, Ontario, in June 1917; sold with copied attestation paper.
