Robert Herd Barcley was born in Montrose, Scotland, in June 1886, and enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Victoria, B.C., in June 1915. He had earlier seen service with the Black Watch; sold with copied attestation paper.

Joe Ferguson was born in Co. Tyrone, Ireland, in March 1888, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Vancouver, B.C., in November 1914. He died in Vancouver in December 1961; sold with copied attestation paper.

John Thorold Blowers was born in Reading, Berkshire, in October 1893, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Winnipeg in October 1914. Embarked for England, he joined the 27th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, and was killed in action south-west of Wytschaete on in February 1916, official records stating, ‘On the night of 6th, while on duty in front of our lines, this soldier was hit in the head by an enemy rifle bullet and instantly killed’. He is buried in Lindenhoek Chalet Military Cemetery, Kemmel; sold with brief research.

George Dalgety was born in Dundee, Scotland, in July 1877, and enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Vancouver, B.C., in August 1917, having journeyed north from San Francisco in the U.S.A. He had earlier witnessed active service in Marshall’s Horse and the Natal Mounted Rifles; sold with copied attestation papers.

James Graham was born in Carlisle, England, in September 1892 and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Winnipeg in December 1916. He had earlier seen service in the Border Regiment, and died at Qualicum Beach, B.C., in March 1955; sold with copied attestation paper.

John Pouler White was born in London, England, in June 1885, and enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Calgary in April 1915. He had earlier seen service with the 3rd County of London Yeomanry; sold with copied attestation paper.

James Arthur Merrix was born at Shoreham, Sussex, England, in September 1895, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in March 1916. He died at Penticton, B.C., in February 1982; sold with copied attestation paper.

Alfred Edward Clark was born in London, England, in September 1879, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Vancouver, B.C., in November 1914; sold with copied attestation paper.

James Fleming Richmond was born in Wigtown, Scotland, in February 1889, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Vancouver, B.C., in March 1916. He died in Vancouver in August 1977; sold with copied attestation paper.
