James Kendall was born in North Berwick. A member of the 7th Battalion Royal Scots (Militia) he attested on 1 March 1901, aged 26 years, 1 month. Served in ‘L’ Troop, 2nd Scottish Horse. Discharged Aldershot, 3 September 1902. With copied service notes.
