Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Paardeberg (2692 Pte., 1-K.O.S.B.); clasps mounted in that order; King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps (33215 Pte., 2-Sco. H.) both are late issues, good very fine and better (2) £100-140

Henry Peacock was born in Barony, Glasgow. Served in the King’s Own Scottish Borderers and was discharged at the termination of his period of service having completed 13 years. Attested for the Imperial Yeomanry at Glasgow on 25 February 1901 and served in South Africa with the 2nd Scottish Horse, March 1901-June 1902. With copied roll extracts and service notes - the former confirming that duplicate medals were later issued.
