Robert Dawson, a Farmer, enlisted at Cupar, Fife on 19 February 1901, aged 23 years. He served in the 20th Company 6th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry (Fife & Forfar Light Horse) in South Africa, March 1901-February 1902. He was discharged at Shorncliff on 14 March 1902 being medically unfit for further service (hearing impaired). With copied service notes.
