Harold Sprowell was born on 26 December 1906. After serving in the ranks for 12 years, 197 days and as a Warrant Officer Class 1, 4 years, 95 days; he was granted an emergency commission as Lieutenant in January 1945. He attained the rank of Major in June 1955 and retired in 1959.
