Lance-Corporal John William Brock, Suffolk Regiment, was captured by the Japanese at Moregumito on 18 April 1943. Hospitalised at No. 6 Camp, Rangoon, November 1943. Died of beri-beri whilst in captivity on 12 May 1944. Buried in the Rangoon War Cemetery. Brock was the son of William and Isobel Brock, of Saxmundham, Suffolk.
