Charles Edward Myers was born in Gravesend, Kent and enlisted at Hull. Serving in the 1st Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 25 September 1914. He was killed in action on 28 October 1914 and was buried in the Canadian Cemetery No. 2, Neuville St. Vaast, France.
