Three: Lieutenant-Colonel A. E. Lascelles, Worcestershire Regiment

1914 Star, with clasp (Lt. Col., Worc. R.) rosette on ribbon; British War and Victory Medals, M.I.D. oak leaf (Lt. Col.) good very fine and better (3) £350-400

Lascelles served on the Staff during the Second Boer War, serving in operations in Cape Colony, October 1899-December 1900, being awarded the brevet of Major and being mentioned in despatches (London Gazette 16 April 1901). Awarded the Queen’s medal with clasp.

As Lieutenant-Colonel of the 1st Battalion Worcestershire Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 7 November 1914. Mentioned in despatches (
London Gazette 17 February 1915). With copied m.i.c.
