A Second World War O.B.I. group of eight awarded to Subadar-Major Amar Sing Rawat, 18th Garhwal Rifles

Order of British India, 1st Class, 2nd type neck badge, gold and enamel; General Service 1918-62, 3 clasps, Kurdistan, Iraq, S.E. Asia 1945-46 (314 Naik Singh Rawat, 1-39 R. Garhwal R.); India General Service 1936-39, 1 clasp, North West Frontier 1937-39 (Subdr. Amar Sing Rawat, 18-R. Garh. Rif.); 1939-45 Star; Burma Star; War Medal 1939-45; India Service Medal 1939-45; Coronation 1937, together with a related khaki rank insignia, the second somewhat polished, good fine, the remainder generally very fine or better (8) £1000-1200

Amar Sing Rawat entered the Indian Army in January 1915 and was advanced to Subadar-Major in December 1940. He served in France, Egypt and Iraq from Octeober 1915 to November 1918, and is entitled to the 1914-15 Star trio.
