Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (1260 Cr. Sergt. Jos. Pollard. 7th Royal Fusiliers.) regimentally impressed naming, edge bruising and contact marks, therefore good fine £140-180

Joseph Pollard was born in Halifax, Yorkshire, and attested for the 7th Royal Fusiliers at Leeds on 4 October 1838, aged 21 years 7 months, a Woolcomber by trade. He served abroad at Gibraltar for 5 years; in the West Indies for 1 year 3 months; in Turkey and the Crimea for 2 years 2 months; and in the East Indies for 1 year 10 months. He was promoted to Sergeant in January 1845 but reduced to Private and imprisoned for 2 days in June 1850, before regaining the rank of Sergeant again in March 1854, in which rank he remained until discharged 30 October 1860.
