Daniel McGregor died of disease at Sebastopol on 4 October 1854. Sold with original War Department letter forwarding medal ‘to be kept in commemoration of his gallant conduct in the campaign in the Crimea.’

William Robertson, alias Daniel McGregor, was born in the Parish of Lanark, Lanarkshire, and enlisted into the 42nd Foot at Glasgow on 12 January 1846, aged 18 years. Sold with copied muster rolls and other research.
