King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry Headdress, officers forage caps comprising a peaked green example by Flight of Winchester named to G.H.Staveley this with gilt and silver cap badge and KC buttons (rubbed), a Field Officer’s peaked green forage cap by Conway Williams, London named to Gossage gold inlaid peak and gold embroidered and silver cap badge KC buttons (rubbed), a Torrin style green cloth side hat with blackened bronze and silver badge, a folding green side hat with frontal green cord boss bearing a gilt strung bugle horn KC buttons, an early period peaked khaki forage cap by Hawkes with bronze and silver cap badge, leather chin strap and KC bronze buttons, a soft topped peaked forage cap by West and Son, New Bond St., with blackened metal and silver cap badge, cloth chin strap and ‘pull down’ rear panel; an o/r WW11 dated 1944 khaki peakless forage cap complete with bakelite cap badge; a japanned tin for an officer’s forage cap with brass plaque ‘W.R.Davis The KOYLI’, good overall condition (8) £300-400
