A mounted group of nine miniature dress medals attributed to Major Derrick Frederick Crewe, Superintendent of Swaziland Police

Derrick Francis Crew was born on 31 May 1923 and educated at Moseley Preparatory School, Birmingham; Bablake (Public) School, Coventry, and Glasgow Technical School. Served in the R.A.F. 1940-46 as a Radar Mechanic. Joined the Kenya Police in 1953 and was appointed Chief Inspector in 1957. In 1963 he moved to Swaziland and took up a training appointment; during 1969-78 he was the Senior Staff Officer of the Police Headquarters. Awarded the Order of St. John in 1967. With copied research including a photograph of him in uniform wearing his full-size medals.
