Aquila Alpe received his L.S. & G.C. medal on 18 November 1859. He is also entitled to China 1842 aboard H.M.S. Melville, and New Zealand dated ‘1845 to 1846’ as Master at Arms aboard H.M.S. Driver. This latter medal has unique dates for the ship and was sold as part of the Kuriheka Collection, D.N.W., June 2006.
