Sydney George Sayers was born in Greenwich, Kent. A Musician by occupation, he attested as a Boy for the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers at London on 12 October 1893, aged 15 years, 3 months. Ranked as a Private in July 1896. Served in South Africa, November 1899-May 1900 and November 1900-February 1903. Awarded the Queen’s medal with five clasps and the King’s medal with two. With copied service papers and roll and census extracts.
