Lance-Corporal Joseph Alfred Hudspeth, 2nd Battalion Green Howards (Yorkshire Regiment) died in India, 4 December 1940, aged 37 years and was buried in the Delhi War Cemetery. He was the son of Mrs E. Hudspeth, of Yarm-on-Tees, Yorkshire.
