Three: Private Patrick Cavanagh, 2nd Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers, taken prisoner at Spion Kop in January 1900, and killed in action at Holland Farm in December 1901

Cavanagh, Lanc: Fus:); Khedive’s Sudan 1896-1908, 1 claps, Khartoum (3960 Pte. P. Cavanach. 2nd L.F.) the first two with some light scratches, otherwise good very fine (3) £600-800

Private Patrick Cavanagh was taken prisoner at Spion Kop, 24 January 1900; released from POW camp, 6 June 1900. He was killed in action at Holland Farm, Transvaal, on 19 December 1901, whilst serving with the 14th Mounted Infantry. He was buried in Ermelo cemetery.
