B.E.M. London Gazette 12 June 1947. ‘Albert Wilkinson, Coal Cutter and Conveyor Supervisor, Coalville, Leicestershire.’

Albert Wilkinson, aged 46 years, was awarded the B.E.M. in June 1947 in recognition of his lengthy and outstanding service to the coal industry. Living at 89 Highfield Street, Coalville, Mr Wilkinson worked as a Coal Cutter and Conveyor Supervisor at the Snibston Colliery.
