Sergeant Maria Adele Garbett served in the Adjutant General’s Corps in Iraq, February-June 2003. With a copied letter in which she states her duties there:

‘I was serving with a Medical Regiment (16 Close Support Medical Regiment - part of 16 Air Assault Brigade from Colchester) and my day to day duties involved carrying injured soldiers from the helicopters to the surgical group. As an administrative role we had to process prisoners of war, de-kit them and account for their possessions etc. ...’
