Military General Service 1793-1814, 2 clasps, Albuhera, Badajoz (Robert Evans, 23rd Foot) edge bruising and some contact marks, nearly very fine £800-1000

Robert Evans was born in Croft Mountain, Merionethshire. A Tailor by occupation he enlisted in the 23rd Regiment on 7 February 1813, aged 28 years. He served in the Army for five years, 291 days. Saw service at Waterloo. Discharged on 4 November 1818 due to disease. With copied discharge papers.

The footnote details do not relate to this man but to another of the same name who fought at Waterloo
