19th Century Continental Court Sword, the 78 cm triangular section blade by P. Knedel (?) decorated in blue and gilt extending 27 cms, the ornate turn down shell with lions’ heads finials and incorporating a crowned blank oval shield, laurel sprays and cornucopia, the hand guard and pommel ornately decorated and the slab mother of pearl hand grip with decorative gilt side panels, fine quality sword knot in gold bullion gilt metal and orange linen, complete with its metal mounted leather scabbard (fractured and a section missing but bottom element present) and its brown canvas carrying bag this with metal purse type fastener, the blade with minor surface rust patches otherwise in very good condition, the scabbard chapes rubbed £80-120
