1st The King’s Dragoon Guards (Queen’s Bays) Officer’s Helmet Plate 1871 - 1901 (Star Section Only), a very fine example being an elongated beaded silver star with a pierced gilt Garter Proper overlay, this on a ground of blue enamel enclosing a silver Royal Crest on a ground of red enamel, four screw post fasteners, at present also fitted with a detachable bracket, two professional and contemporary repairs to two of the star points otherwise excellent condition
