Canadian Memorial Cross, G.V.R., reverse officially inscribed, ‘693308 Pte. P. J. Flaherty’, good very fine £60-80

Private Patrick Joseph Flaherty, Canadian Infantry, was killed in action on 4 March 1918, aged 27 years. The published roll gives his regiment as the 16th Battalion, the C.W.G.C. site lists him as 19th Battalion. He was buried in the Bully-Grenay Communal Cemetery British Extension. He was the son of John and Grace Flaherty, of Lettermacaward, Co. Donegal.
