Samuel George Mealing was born in Norton, near Gloucester on 23 November 1871. Employed as a Bricklayer’s Labourer living in Kensington, he joined the Metropolitan Police on 9 July 1894, serving at Devonport Docks. He resigned from the police on 28 December 1920. With copied service papers.
