Private Richard Francis Baylis, “A” Co., 28th Battalion Canadian Infantry, was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 9 August 1918, aged 26 years.

He was buried in the Rosieres Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France. He was the son of Francis Thomas and Elizabeth Anne Baylis, of Swansea, South Wales.
