Cornelius Lill was born in and enlisted at Hull. Serving with the 1/4th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 30 June 1915. He was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 23 April 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
