Frederick Simmons was born in Donhead St. Andrew, Wiltshire and lived and enlisted at Salisbury. Serving in the 5th Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he died of wounds, Mesopotamia, on 9 April 1917. His name is commemorated in the Shaik Saad Old Cemetery, Iraq. With copied casualty details.
