Charles Henry Fowle was born and lived in Lower Parkstone, Dorset and enlisted at Poole, Dorset. He originally served as Private 41036 in the 2/1st North Somerset Light Infantry. Serving with the 1st Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 27 May 1918, aged 19 years. He was buried in the Chambrecy British Cemetery, France. He was the son of William James and Susan Frampton Fowle. Volunteer Force L.S. Medal awarded to his father. With copied casualty details.
