George Brixey was born in Donhead St. Mary, lived at Wincanton, Somerset and enlisted at Devizes. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he died of wounds, France/Flanders on 29 September 1915. He was buried in the Noeux-les-Mines Cemetery. He was the brother of Private W. Brixey.
