William Charles Kimber was born in Grafton, Marlborough, Wiltshire, lived in Marlborough and enlisted at Devizes. As a Lance-Corporal in the 1st Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 14 August 1914. As a Private in the 2nd Battalion he was killed in action, France/Flanders on 12 March 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
