William Alfred Wright was born in Corsley, Warminster, Wiltshire. Living at 4 Whitborne Springs, Corsley, employed as a Labourer, he attested for the Wiltshire Militia at Warminster on 25 February 1901. Served with the 3rd Battalion Wiltshire Regiment on St. Helena guarding Boer prisoners-of-war, 20 June 1901-11 September 1902. With copied service papers and other research.

Rdwin Downting was born in Bucklin Newton, near Dorchester, Dorset. Living in Nunton, near Salisbury, Wiltshire and employed as a Labourer, he attested for the Wiltshire Militia at Salisbury on 16 July 1900. With the 3rd Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he served on St. Helena, 20 June 1901-11 September 1902. With copied service papers.
