Queen’s Sudan 1896-98 (4339 L.Sgt., 1/North’d Fus.); Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Belmont, Modder River (4339 St. Sgt., North’d Fus.); Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 1st issue (4339 C.Sjt., Nth’ld Fus.); Meritorious Service Medal, G.VI.R., 2nd issue (4339 W.O. Cl. 1, N.F.); Khedive’s Sudan 1896-1908, 1 clasp, Khartoum (4339 Lc. Sergt., 5th Fusers.) the earlier medals with contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine or better (5) £400-500

M.S.M. awarded under the terms of Army Order 98 of 1953, without annuity. Ahronson enlisted in 1894, and served in the Sudan 1897-98, Crete 1898-99, South Africa 1899-1902, and in the Great War. He was discharged in 1918, served as Assistant Master of Horse on the Staff of the Royal Household 1921-22, and worked for H.M. Customs and Excise 1923-46. He died in the 1960s.
