Spanish Percussion Pistol, dated 1827, the 24cm barrel with octagonal breech, inlaid in gold with the date and ‘En Eibar, de Herraduras’, decorative punches and chiselled gold band. The breech is also struck with a gold poincon with the letters ‘OR/BEA’. Half stocked in walnut, with chequered butt and plain iron furniture including butt cap with lanyard ring, the iron ramrod a replacement. Plain lockplate with chiselled line border, the cock en suite, decorated with a stylized lion’s head, 39cm overall, very good condition £300-400
