Royal Marine Light Infantry, an extremely fine and rare cast gilt Colour belt/Drum-Major’s belt buckle c1856(?)-1901, of large pierced rectangular outline the buckle embraces various designs of crowns, roses, oak and laurel sprays, centrally the Globe with the Royal Crest above, to the sides ‘PER MARE PER TERRAM’ scrolls, and a strung bugle horn below, a large bar and single hook fastener to the reverse (See p 296 Vol II Britain’s Sea Soldiers), mint state £300-500
