Great War Hartlepools Hospitals ‘Thankoffering’ Badges (9), all in bronze and enamels, generally good condition (9) £120-150

By way of recognising the brave contribution made by the Hartlepools Hospitals during the German Naval bombardment on 16 December 1914, it was decided by the local council that a ‘Thankoffering’ day should be held each year at the time of the anniversary. These badges were sold to raise money at this event.
