Victory Medal (2. Lieut. A. V. Bollins, R.A.F.) good very fine £40-50
Albert Victor Bollins was credited with three aerial victories whilst flying with Captain John E. Gurdon, D.F.C. & Bar. All three victories were claimed on the same day, 9 May 1918. On 12 May 1918 while flying with Lieutenant Taylor they were shot down ‘under control’. They were captured by the Germans and held in a prisoner of war camp until the end of the war.
