John Foster was born at Barlby and enlisted at Selby, Yorkshire. He died at home on 31 December 1915 whilst serving with the 1st Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment.

William Thomas was born in Westminster and lived at Vauxhall, Middlesex. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 21 June 1917 whilst serving with the 13th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment.
